There is an article in the New York Times by Jen Murphy that includes short video instructions on how to test your mobility. It's very helpful for people of all ages, but I recommend that before trying the tests, read the entire article. Then read the comments. The commentors provide various feedback on the tests - some helpful, some not helpful, and some just a bit self-righteous. One of the comments may speak to you and address what not to do based on your personal physical abilities. In any case it is a wake up call to rethink your exercise program or lack of movement and activity. What can you NOT do and why?
It's good to see an article like this that makes you think about your physical well being. It's even better to have a conversation with your health care provider to understand why you have or do not have limitations and is there anything you can do to improve your overall well being.
Check out the article. This is "gifted" so no subscription is required to access the article and the videos. How Good is Your Mobility?
