Conversation Starters. How Well Do You Know Yourself, Your Family, Your Partner, Your Friends?

I was recently reminded of the Harvard regional accent quiz that can pinpoint where someone lives in the United States (or where they were raised or by whom.) Years ago and just for fun, I had family members, including in-laws and their family members, take the online test during a holiday gathering. It led to a great conversation about our parents and grandparents and how speech patterns are based on the people that surround us.

I decided to look for the test and it is no longer offered by the Harvard researchers, but the questions are still available from another source. I wondered about other aspects of personality/beliefs and if they can be "quizzed." I've personally taken each of the quizzes listed here. They are mostly scientific and do not have correct answers. Your answer is the correct answer. After spending an evening taking these quizzes I've come to the conclusion that the questions themselves go the very essence of who a person is, far more than any dating app!

Regarding empathetic responses to fictional stories, Jean-Jacques Rousseau argued in 1758:
